Claressa Shields vs Ivana Habazin fight off after trainer attacked at weigh-in

Claressa Shields fight in her hometown of Flint, Michigan, was called off following her opponents trainer was injured before the weigh-in in an altercation.
Shields was supposed to combat Ivana Habazin of Croatia on Saturday night, but that bout has been called away from the WBC after James Ali Bashir, Habazins trainer, was hospitalised after Fridays episode.
The WBC strongly condemns any act of violence at any event related to our sport, and especially the horrible attack which happened in an official activity surrounding this occasion, the body said.
The WBC is sure that the corresponding government will use the complete scope to the law to the regrettable event, it added.
After the 2 fighters had been in the event in Flint around the scales, bashir was seen arguing with an unidentified individual.
It was presumed to be Shields first fight in her hometown.
The two-time Olympic champion has won titles at the super middleweight degree, and the belts were matched by her in April.
She took this battle at 154 lbs, attempting to be a champion.
It had to be postponed due to an injury to Shields, although the battle was scheduled for August 17.
